How Safe Is Vaping?

No matter how much we deny it, there are still facts about the dangers of smoking that we have to face. There are health risks linked with cigarettes, and all of them are documented, with graphic warnings on every advertising and packaging. But when it comes to electronic cigarettes, the decision making is deemed difficult.

Some people are happy with the introduction of vaping, as they are labeled as an alternative to cigarettes. They are known as devices, that do not release tar and toxic chemicals, unlike tobacco products.

So the question now is, is vaping safe? Before answering that question, we must first understand what vaping is. Vaping is the word that is used to describe the aerosol created by electronic cigarettes that are inhaled and exhaled by the smoker. Electronic cigarettes are composed of a heating element, a battery, and a container for the juice or e-liquid. When the e-cig liquid is heated, the smokers inhale that aerosol. The juice or liquids are flavored, and they contain a certain percentage of nicotine, so you can experience sensation and hit that is found in cigarettes.

Contrary to popular belief, there are benefits associated with vaping, and they are as healthy as they’ve advertised.  Research shows that vaping is one of the best alternatives to tobacco cigarettes. As we all know, tobacco cigarettes have hundreds of dangerous chemicals that can cause diseases like cancer and heart problems. But with vaping, you can buy e-cig liquids with no nicotine in them, plus you can go for lighter flavor instead of the strong, tobacco smell.

Another reason why vaping is better than tobacco cigarettes is that tobacco cigarettes are known to contain nicotine, a substance that is highly addictive. Since vaping is meant to help smokers quit smoking, manufacturers made sure that no nicotine is added into the e-liquids unless the user wants to. There are liquids that have nicotine level as high as 36mg, but those are for chain smokers who have difficulties in cutting nicotine, cold turkey.

As all smokers know, nicotine is very addictive. Studies have shown that nicotine is the most addictive substance. This is the reason why it is difficult for a lot of smokers to quit smoking traditional cigarettes. Also, nicotine is dangerous, especially for developing brains. Nicotine intake while pregnant can affect the child’s ability to affect and learn their behavior, and it can also lower their IQ. For those with anxiety and depression, nicotine can worsen the condition. That is the reason why chain smokers are encouraged to go with liquids that have 36mg nicotine and work their way down so that their body can adjust to the changes.

For those who have asthma, the smoke from tobacco cigarettes can irritate your lungs and throat. The good thing about vape smoke is that it smells so good, especially fruit-flavored ones. For smokers, vaping could help you cut back on smoking traditional cigarettes, and it may help you break it.

There are also other healthy alternatives such as nicotine gum, patches, and other products that are made for smokers who wish to stop with nicotine addiction. If you are not ready to vape just yet, then you can try those.

The only thing that you should be mindful of is the use of electronic cigarettes and other vaping devices. Electronic cigarettes have been reported numerous times because it exploded and the liquid is poisonous if it comes into contact with your skin or eyes, or if you accidentally swallowed it. Make sure that you do not leave your e-cigarette charging on its own, and also clean your e-cig cartridges carefully when changing liquids.

The best way to stop your nicotine addiction is to do it the right way and not by adding more nicotine into your body. If you know that you are dependent on nicotine, then it is best to go with e-liquids with no nicotine added so that you can start working on cutting your addition.
